Nobody likes getting blindsided by unexpected energy costs, especially when lease negotiations are on the line. KODE OS makes it easy for property managers to quickly investigate energy usage trends and identify issues before they become expensive problems.

Problems such as lighting running 24/7, HVAC units kicking on at odd hours, or manual equipment overrides that waste energy. If missed, they can quietly drive up energy bills, frustrate tenants, and cause issues during lease conversations

Using KODE’s Multi-Point Trending feature to analyze historical equipment data, landlords can respond to tenant concerns and uncover hidden inefficiencies in no time.

  1. Log into KODE OS and access the device trend data for the tenant’s space.
  2. Compare the month in question against the same month from the previous year to look for unusual patterns.
  3. Analyze fan status and speed data, green indicates when fans were running.
  4. Identify irregular equipment behavior — in this case, an AC unit running 24/7 throughout the month.
  5. Dispatch property management to resolve the issue and share the findings with the tenant to close the loop.

With KODE OS, landlords don’t have to guess what’s driving higher energy costs. Real-time and historical data insights make it easy to spot inefficiencies, fix issues quickly, and keep tenant relationships strong, all without disrupting operations.
