Machine Learning for Data Efficiency

The application features a machine learning-powered auto-suggest tool that expedites the process of normalizing point names, making data preparation more efficient.

Centralized Data Integration

Aggregate data from various building systems (HVAC, lighting, metering, and more) and IoT devices into a single, unified repository, ensuring comprehensive visibility across your portfolio.

Data Normalization

Transform diverse data formats and protocols into a clean and standardized structure, enabling full interoperability across the KODE OS platform for smoother operations and better insights.

Advanced Analytics

Enable analytics capabilities such as fault detection, predictive maintenance, and performance benchmarking, supporting data-driven decisions to optimize building performance.

Real-Time & Historical Insights

Access and monitor real-time data streams to detect anomalies, ensure systems are operating efficiently, and address issues proactively. Store real-time and historical data efficiently, allowing quick access for performance benchmarking, fault detection, and operational adjustments.

Trend Analysis

Dive into trends to identify inefficiencies, evaluate system performance, and plan maintenance schedules based on data insights.

Bedrock National Command Center

Managing the HVAC, lighting, and fire systems in these buildings would require training on 10 different software interfaces provided by various equipment manufacturers including HVAC, Lighting, Fire Control, and various Johnson Controls, Honeywell, Siemens, Lutron, Simplex, Notifier and others. The proprietary software operating systems further complicated both the process of purchasing new equipment and the servicing of existing equipment.

17000 + devices integrated

54 buildings

11 + million sq.ft integrated

The KODE OS web and mobile app makes all features, functionality, and data accessible from anywhere in the world. The operational tools are just the beginning, as the now centralized database allows Bedrock to utilize billions of data points for machine learning algorithms to optimize and dynamically control the energy usage, air quality, and tenant experience across their portfolio.

Integration of the building automation system in The Guardian

The Guardian Building is a National Historic Landmark. It is a timeless representation of creativity and achievement that has stood the test of time. It represents a past era enriched by people who believed in the success of Detroit and its diverse culture. As one of the most significant Art Deco skyscrapers in the world, KODE Labs and Green Building Automation felt a strong conviction to bring The Guardian Building into the 21st Century by future proofing its building systems.

Green Building Automation and KODE Labs have changed all of that. They were able to take our four major systems and integrate them into a simple front end platform. Not only the BAS systems but also damper controls, pumps and the like. It has definitely been a game changer for the building engineers. As we move forward we are adding controls on other equipment throughout the building and integrating it into the new system. The Guardian Building engineers no longer have to go to the plant to check the temperature in any given space. The system can be accessed from their mobile device. Yes, we were behind the times and we knew it.

From Alarms to Incidents: How Smarter Fault Management Improves NOI

For decades, building operators have wrestled with alarms. A single fault in HVAC or lighting could cascade into dozens, even hundreds,  of alerts across the system. This “alarm fatigue” leads to inefficiency, slow response, costly mistakes and unhappy occupiers. Operators spent more time deciphering noise than solving problems. The industry is now shifting away from […]
