Despite its straightforward mechanical design, the hotel’s dense equipment and integrated control components presented challenges. Identifying the challenge

Shinola Hotel’s compact space housed over 500 devices and nearly 7,500 points. Ensuring guest satisfaction, the hotel’s lean engineering team depended on KODE OS’s mobile application to monitor building conditions and swiftly address emerging issues.

The game-changing solution

Utilizing KODE Labs’ Digital Cx, and collaborating with the commissioning agent, routine function tests were performed on all 200 heat pump devices. This significant enhancement from the conventional 10-15% check rate provided deep insights. This granular visibility and control over the hotel’s energy consumption ensured efficient operations, safety, and guest comfort even during the challenging COVID era.
