2024 met 7 fresh integrations to provide insights on AV equipment, Bike Parking, Leak Detection, and more.

In just 1 month, we’ve dropped 7 new integrations to our 130+ library. We’re bringing to you tools for AV equipment, facilities management, Bike Valet, emergency lighting, access control, CCTV, and an API Orchestration between a tenant app and WO software.

RoomOS is the inclusive and open operating system that powers the meeting agnostic Cisco collaboration devices. This integration allows you to read statuses of AV equipment and lighting to give you the information you need to create the best meeting space.

What can it do?

  • Reading the audiovisual (AV) Equipment mode – based on the AV mode you’ll need to control other systems such as lighting and shades.
  • See the microphone & videoconference status.
  • Equipment Sleep/Awake status (read/write), alarms.
  • Quantity of video conference participants.
  • Recalling lighting presents and opening/closing shades. Example: AV sends a set of strings that KODE will map 1:1 with the lighting/shades. These strings are commands that don’t need to be interpreted to map for lighting and closing/opening the shades.

Willow creates virtual representations of physical assets, overlaid with real-time information from devices, equipment, people and places. This integration provides the ability to collect leak detection, chilled water system, mechanical system, and power metering data for reporting and trending.

What can it do?

  • Collect leak detection information for reporting and trending. Leak detection should include events triggered by base building & BMS system.
  • Collect Chilled Water System data for reporting and trending (condenser water supply temperature & condenser water return temperature).
  • Collect Mechanical System runtimes for reporting and trending.
  • Collect Power Metering data for reporting and trending. (by electrical closet)
  • Leak detection alerts – Leak detection sensors automatically trigger high-priority work orders with multiple notification methods to alert building personnel.

Wohr provides intelligent parking solutions, including for bikes. With KODE, it enables you to update a permitted user list, grant bay specific access, discover and maintain bike silo bay status.

What can it do?

  • Update the list of users that have been granted permission to park their bike in the bike silo bays
  • Grant access to the correct bay according to permitted users.
  • Access card syncing – Get user access cards from Avigilon ACM and send them to Wohr.
  • Discover and maintain status of bike silo bays – Using MQTT client discover and get the status of Bike Silo Bays.

This is an orchestration, which enables the client to have one source of truth (KODE OS) instead of having to go to two separate APIs for data. In this case, the orchestration was for providing tenants who submit work orders with a similar user experience on the tenant app regardless of the work order system being used by the operator (Angus, Prism, Building Engines). This requires multiple integrations (KODE <> tenant app + KODE <> WO software). This month we used HqO as the tenant app but this is possible with any tenant app and WO software integrated with KODE.

What can it do?

  • View list of work orders – Open and closed statuses, and cancel a work order from the tenant app.
  • Create a work order with issue type, a description, location, and photo.
  • Provide all Properties a unified solution that supports change management regardless of the work order system being used by Operator.

Avigilon Alta, formerly known as OpenPath is a access control system that enables KODE OS users to read and assess the devices, device status, alarms, and other data from the access control devices such as ACUs, Readers, Locks, etc.

What can it do?

  • Enable notifications based off the data points for alarm status, device status, or connection status; can view the alarm configuration and assigned roles.
  • Read devices (Access Controls, Wireless Locks, Readers)
  • Read the battery level of lockers.

AVA Cameras by Avigilon Alta is a CCTV system, this integration enables the creation of a security dashboard and notifications based on alarms and events.

What can it do?

  • Create a dashboard for the security team with camera devices and their connection statuses.
  • Create notifications based on alarms/events; can view the alarm issue type, resolution status, resolution time, and more.

ZoneWorks is an in-house developed emergency lighting system by Clevertronics. It effectively monitors and alerts on the health of the ELS system while also reporting any outstanding issues. With the new API, you can now connect and monitor your emergency lighting with other building systems.

What can it do?

Provide the following:

  • Real-time values and point status.
  • Read any Lamp’s status, test, and test failures.
  • Last & scheduled test dates.
  • Exit lighting status & fault.
  • Maintenance history.
